The Customer Creation Secrets of a Millionaire Clown

Whenever I speak at events or on interviews, I'm introduced as "James Sinclair, £10million business owner", but despite what many online gurus will tell you is possible, I didn't build that business overnight. In fact, 12 years ago, I almost called it a day.

It all started when I was 15 years old, sitting at the back at my sister's birthday party.

I’d never really thought being a ‘business owner’ before then. I’d always been the kid who sold sweets at school, took Saturday jobs, and worked every hour I could just to make a bit of money; but I knew that it wasn’t a ‘proper business’.

My best friend at the time, Mark, had started doing mobile discos for kids at the weekends, and he was out every weekend earning £20 an hour. As a 14 year old kid, that seemed amazing, considering most kids would be happy to be earning £2 an hour back then. But I didn’t want to be a disc jockey, and I began to wonder what I could do instead.

It was at my little sister Abbey’s 5th birthday party that I had my ‘lightbulb moment’.

I was 15 at the time. Our family had organised a children’s entertainer for the party, and the entire room sat and watched his 90 minutes performance.

Was I inspired by his routine?

No. He was absolutely useless.

But even though I knew I could do better than this man at the front of the room, everybody loved him just the same. I remember sitting there and thinking “I can do a hell of a lot better than this bloke”, and he was being paid £100 for entertaining a few kids for an hour and a half.

By the time the party was over, I knew what I wanted to do with my life - at least, at first:

I wanted to create the UK’s biggest and best children's birthday party provider.

So, at the ripe old age of 15, I created my first brand and business; Jimbo the Partyman, and I set out to be earning £40k a year by the time I was 20. Looking back, I didn’t really have a clue what I was doing when it came to business, but I was a natural extrovert and both the children and adults alike loved the outrageous style of my own brand of entertainment.

4 years later, I was 19 years old, and making 100k a year.

You may think that sounds like a great situation to be in, and I did too for a while, but I soon realised that my ‘business’ was just a glorified job. And when I consider how many hours I was having to work at the time, it wasn’t even a particular well paid one.

That became a problem when things started to plateau. You see, practically all of my new business at the time came from referrals or word of mouth. But day by day the phone rung a little less.

It dawned on me that I was going to have to work out how to go out and get new business in, rather than just relying on them to come to me; but I was a ‘one man band’ working 7 days a week doing kid’s parties. I simply didn’t have the time to look for new customers.

You’re probably reading this and nodding along; and you’re not alone.

In fact, according to a recent survey by ‘Small Business Trends’, a whopping 85% of business owners rely on word of mouth as their primary means of getting new customers.

That means only 15% of business owners have a reliable way of getting new customers, whilst the other 85% are left attending networking meetings and hoping praying that their phone continues to ring.

12 years on, I’ve grown my business from £100k turnover to over 10million of profitable revenue last year. I’ve gone from being a ‘one man band’ stuck working 80+ hour weeks, to employing over 300 staff.

I’m not going to lie and tell you that it was a piece of cake, but I will tell you that it wouldn’t have been possible without one thing; more customers.

Every business, including yours, needs customers.

Whether you sell physical products in a bricks and mortar business, sell information online, or your expertise as a consultant; customers are what keeps your business afloat and allow you to grow.

What would happen if someone flicked a switch and cut off your existing system for getting new customers in your business?

How long could you make payroll for?

How long would you be able to put off paying invoices?

How long would it be before your entire business went under?

The only way to build a successful business that works for you, rather than the other way round, is to ensure you have multiple ways of turning cold prospects into new customers. Ways that you control, don’t leave you at the mercy of your suppliers, customers, or partners.

And at my 4th ‘One Day Spectacular’ at the O2 Arena on Tuesday 25th of April, I’m going to share exactly how I did it, and how you can do the same thing in your business.

I’ll be joined by my Entrepreneurs Network co-founder, Mark Creaser, and some carefully selected guest speakers who’ll be revealing their customer acquisition secrets to over 200 UK business owners, and we’d like to invite you to join us there.

I'll delve into more details on the presenters and what we'll be sharing, but first...

A Question.

If you want to really understand a subject... as in REALLY know it inside-out, what would you do?

A) Find an expert. Read their books. Listen to their podcasts in the car (to your partner or children's frustration). Spend countless hours sifting through page after page on the internet, trying to turn up some half decent information.

B) Meet the expert face-to-face. Tie them up, lock them in a room and refuse to let them leave until they tell you everything you ever want to know about the subject.

The answer is pretty obvious, right? (Although tying them up may be frowned upon...)

Because it's infinitely better to get information straight from the horses mouth, rather than reading a 5 year old book or blog, or listening to an outdated podcast.

And it's exactly the same when it comes to getting more customers for your business.

You can spend huge amounts of time researching the expert and buying books to try and figure it all out by yourself, or you can go direct to the actual expert and hear what they've got to say IN PERSON.

If you like the sound of that, you'll like...

  • The simplest ways to get more customers without spending a fortune

  • How to DOUBLE your revenue, without needing a single extra customer (this one’s a game changer)

  • The little known ‘speed of return’ formula, and how to make it work in your favour

> Thom Smith

Smithy is back by popular demand with his unique customer acquisition system: 'the worst converting, most profitable, fastest way to ever get a new customer. He'll be sharing:

  • The completely misunderstood way of getting customers
  • Why it converts like a chocolate teapot, but is the most profitable and fastest way to new customers

This is NOT an ordinary event.
In fact we hate to even call it one of those. That’s why we call it a “Spectacular”.

  • Connector.

This Is NOT a "Pitch Fest"

You know the events I mean, where there’s a conveyor belt of speakers all doing their level best to tell you their rags to riches story and then sell you their magic beans. You won’t see the usual gang of wallet-hunters at this event, it’s a day focussed on content, designed for real business owners, not wannabes, dreamers and internet marketers. If you’ve got a real business, then you’re going to find this a VERY interesting day.

  • Connector.

This Is NOT a Multi-Speaker Event

You’ll hear from members of our team and our close friends and partners, but it certainly won’t be one random speaker after another, pitching their wares and blowing their trumpets. The few special guest speakers are carefully hand-picked by us to deliver real, actionable content that will make a genuine impact on your business.

  • Connector.

    This Is NOT Theory Based

It’s an unfortunate truth that many of the speakers at business events don’t have any ACTUAL experience. They will teach you what you need to do based on their own theory, not their own experience. Everyone who speaks at the One Day Spectacular has tremendous amounts of real-life experience working on their own, and others businesses.

  • Connector.

This IS a Day of Real Learning

At times it might feel like you’ve been mind blown with new content and ideas, but you’ll never be bored or underwhelmed. You have our word for it.

The One Day Spectacular is just around the corner.
The infamous ‘night before networking’.

Don’t get me wrong, the One Day Spectacular is all about content, that’s what makes it so highly valuable. But if you’ve been to one of our “night before lock-ins” at a previous Spectacular, you’ll know that the best deals are always done at the bar!

It’s the opportunity for you to not only get your business questions answered by the people who have been there and done it, but to network with your fellow entrepreneurs and like-minded individuals and make things happen. It’s held at the InterContinental at the O2, mere moments from the event venue.

Because in business, it’s about WHO you know as much as WHAT you know. Including in the price of your ticket you have the opportunity to chat to start-up millionaires, world-class entrepreneurs or even a future business partner!

Plus you’ll have a familiar face to sit with the next day at the Spectacular.

Forget What You Think You Know.
In all honesty - there's still a high chance that this may not be the event for you.

And that isn't one of those sneaky "reverse psychology" tactics that a lot of people try and do.

There's genuinely still a good chance that the One Day Spectacular isn't what you're looking for (or NEED)!

Here's why...

1) The One Day Spectacular is about real, actionable techniques and strategies that generate SALES and PROFIT

We run our own businesses and we’ll be using real-life examples of what’s worked in those businesses to drive engagement, footfall, and customers. No fluff or puff, just content that’s rooted in experience and facts.

It isn't one of those "wishy-washy", "mumbo-jumbo", mindset events where you come and walk on fire, bend spoons with your mind, and make you feel good, even when your business is dying.

If that's what you're looking for, please do not purchase a ticket. Because you'll be disappointed.

2) The One Day Spectacular is NOT free

There is a ticket fee to attend as a non-member of the Entrepreneurs Network. There are hundreds of free business events running all over the country week in, week out. But we require a relatively small investment to attend for two reasons.

ONE, it shows that you're serious about putting in the effort and investment required to transform your business. TWO, it filters out the usual wannabees and wallies running around irritating everyone.

3) We don't have any 'magic bullets' for you

If you want to spend the day being told that you can generate an extra £100million in your business, all by relaxing on a beach sitting mojitos, then this event is not for you.

We'll be sharing the tactics and strategies that have generated over a million customers across our businesses, but simply copying them for your business doesn't guarantee you can replicate the results.

You'll need to combine the things you learn with hard work and patience to make them succeed for you.

Clearly, the One Day Spectacular isn't for everybody.

It's not for those who already have every answer and think that they have nothing left to learn, or those who are content working IN their business; pulling out a £30k or £40k salary each yet.

But if you're a Business Owner with tenacious aspirations to get more customers for your business - the One Day Spectacular is for you.

Still feel that the One Day Spectacular is right for you?

You're probably wondering what the "relatively small investment" we've referred to actually is.

Well I know what you're probably thinking: A full day of business lessons that could generate you tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of pounds in additional revenue, with not even a hint of selling. You're probably thinking that this event is going to set you back £500, perhaps even £1000+.

But I want to put this knowledge and experience in the hands of business owners who are motivated and capable of using it to make a real difference in their business - business owners who are struggling to get customers, just like I was 12 years ago - so I don’t want cost to be an obstacle...

So we’ve set the ticket price at just £165.

But you're in luck, because the fact that you're reading this means that we're in the 'worm catcher' pricing phase. That means that you if secure your seat today you'll get a whopping...
24% OFF

There it is. You'll notice that I don't beat around the bush with the size of investment. That's because I don't need to.

I don't need to do a long, drawn price justification or trickery.

Because I know that we can deliver value which far outweighs your investment. Because we ACTUALLY do this business stuff, rather than JUST teaching it.

And trust me, that's pretty rare.

At the One Day Spectacular you'll get the me, Mark and our distinguished guests, in the same room for an entire day, teaching you everything you need to know to get more customers.

Your 24% Discount Expires in:
“Amazing day! I have been to dozens of different events over the years and have to say the calibre of people in one room today was of high standard.”
John Lockyear
This is the Best Investment You Will Make This Year.

If you’re like us, running a real business in the UK, then this is an exciting time. There’s lots going on, lots changing and the smartest businesses are making the most of that.

But that same changes brings with it a terrifying truth:

It's never been easier to start a business.

Gone are the days where it took weeks, months and a myriad of forms to get your business started. Now, if you can buy a domain name and register your business online, you're in business.

If you're an established business, you can't ignore this change. Burying your head in the sand and keeping on keeping on just isn't an option. Because someone else will embrace that change, and they'll win.

Because yes, you may be content with the number of customers you've got right now. But what will happen if someone comes along tomorrow and with a business that steals all of your customers? Someone who doesn't rely on networking meetings or word of mouth to take your customers from under your nose.

And I’m not saying that change doesn’t come with challenges, but nobody said business was going to be a walk in the park.

If you want to discover new ways of getting new customers, then you need to learn from people who know what they’re talking about.

And there's not even much more we need to say about it.

The Only Way to Get Results, is to Take Action.

There's no reason for you to put this off, procrastinate or "think about it" for any longer.

If you’re going to breakfast meetings and eating greasy breakfasts in the hope of getting another couple of customers, you need this event.

If you’re waiting for you next customer to walk through the door or call you up, you need this event.

If you’re working for your business, rather than having your business work for you, you need this event.

If you want to create a business that works for you, rather than the other way round, something you can sell, or step out of, and will continue to pay you. Something that’ll give you the money and TIME to do the things you want to do, and will pay you long after you stop working, you don’t need to pay some guru £1000s for some fancy new 'funnel' they've dreamt up, or blow £1000s on Adwords. You need to learn from the people who have been there and done it at the One Day Spectacular.

Do you want to be sat here in 12 months time with your business in the exact same place it's in now?

If the answer is no, then take action now.

There are a limited number of seats, many of them have already been snapped up by members of my Entrepreneurs Network, and the rest will be sold on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

We’ve got a lot of content to deliver in one day, but we’ll do it, and I promise that you’ll leave with new ideas, renewed confidence and a feeling of excitement.

So now we want you to click the pink button below. It'll take you through to the registration page where you can secure your spot. Fill out the form on the page and as soon you're done, book your hotel, call your babysitter and block the day out in your diary.

Seriously... do it now.

And just in case you were wondering, we will not be "productising" this event in any way. I.e. if you're thinking that you'll skip the event because you can just buy the recordings for 50 quid at a later date.

You're out of luck.

So BOOK NOW while you still can. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Venue.

We all think the O2 Arena is the perfect venue for the One Day Spectacular. Hopefully you agree.

With a handful of nearby tube stations, and the Emirates Air Line offering easy access to the other side of the river.

We've chosen to host the One Day Spectacular at the Cineworld in the O2. Not only is it in a fantastic spot - the seats are extraordinarily comfortable as well!
